Bald Eagle
27 June 2013 -- Homer, Alaska

While on a summer RV trip of about four months up through Canada and the interior of Alaska I took many photos of the Bald Eagle.  This one is the most striking of all.  Taken with a long lens and with a look like that, I would not have wanted to be up-close. This was taken on the Homer Spit.  This spit of land sticking out into the bay was home to the "Eagle Lady", who for many years fed the Eagles every day.  After she recently passed away, the city fathers enacted a law of "No feeding the Eagles".  That didn't stop the Eagles, they are omnipresent.
